Regular Season Round 3: Eskilstuna - Kalmar 79-66

There was no surprise when Kalmar (0-3) lost on the road to Eskilstuna (1-1) 79-66 on Sunday. Eskilstuna forced 22 Kalmar turnovers. Strangely Kalmar outrebounded Eskilstuna 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Eskilstuna made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for guard Simon Finden (191-2000) who led the winners and scored 31 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Karl Drammeh (203-1999, college: E.Wyoming) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Eskilstuna's coach Benjamin Howard used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Malte Eriksson came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Carl Birgemo (199-2002) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Kalmar in the defeat. Eskilstuna will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kalmar will play against Helsingborg (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
