There was no surprise when 12th ranked SIG Strasbourg (1-2) lost at home to fourth ranked JL Bourg (4-1) 83-65 on Tuesday. Belarusian forward Maksim Salash (206-1996, agency: TPA) nailed 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Axel Julien (182-1992) accounted for 8 points and 7 assists. The former international guard Paul Lacombe (198-1990) came up with 11 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Chaundee Brown Jr (196-1998, college: Michigan) added 16 points respectively for SIG Strasbourg in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. JL Bourg moved-up to second place, which they share with Nanterre and Paris. Loser SIG Strasbourg dropped to the fourteenth position with two games lost. JL Bourg will meet at home JSF Nanterre (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
