Regular Season Round 3: Bielsko-Biala - Rybnik 79-97

There was a minor upset when Bielsko-Biala (2-1) was defeated at home by Rybnik (2-0) 97-79 on Wednesday. Rybnik shot 63.8 percent from the field. Rybnik had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Rybnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Kacper Wydra (180-2000) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 9 assists. Point guard Piotr Kawczynski (185-2002) helped adding 24 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Four Rybnik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Wojciech Zub (181-1995) with 25 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Robert Kozaczka (198-1981) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rybnik will meet at home Krakow Oknoplast (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bielsko-Biala will play against Gliwice 2 (#11) and hope to secure a win.
