Very predictable result in Torun where Dziki (3-0) defeated Twarde Pierniki (1-2) 80-72 on Friday. They outrebounded Twarde Pierniki 42-28 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Emmanuel Little (197-1999, college: Nicholls St.) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Matt Coleman III (188-1998, college: Texas) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Dziki's coach Krzysztof Szablowski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin center Gligorije Rakocevic (211-1995, college: Oregon St.) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian point guard Goran Filipovic (183-1996, agency: 011 Sports) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Twarde Pierniki players scored in double figures. Dziki will meet Trefl (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Twarde Pierniki will play against Czarni and hope to win that game.
