Regular Season Round 2: Kobrat - Kouvot 99-86

The most surprising game was a loss of Kouvot in Lapua on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Kobrat 99-86. The game was mostly controlled by Kobrat. Kouvot managed to win third quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Kobrat shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. American point guard Taz Sherman (184-1999, college: WVU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 43 points (!!!). The other American import forward Theo Akwuba (211-2000, college: Ole Miss) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Panamanian-American forward Ricardo Lindo Jr (203-2000, college: GWU) replied with 29 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kyle Lofton (190, college: Florida) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kouvot. Kobrat is looking forward to face Seagulls in Helsinki in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kouvot will play at home against KTP-Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
