Regular Season Round 3: Angers - Landes 58-71
Date: October 7, 2023
An interesting game was also tough home defeat of Angers in a game versus Landes (#4) 71-58. They made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Landes had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Alexis Peterson (173-1995, college: Syracuse) who led the winners and scored 21 points. Her fellow American import forward Samantha Fuehring (191-1997, college: Louisville) accounted for 9 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side. Guinean forward Masseny Kaba (191-1998, college: UCF) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the former international point guard Leila Lacan (174-2004) added 13 points respectively for Angers in the defeat. Angers' coach Aurelie Bonnan rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Landes will meet at home Flammes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Angers will play against Bretagne (#11) in Pleyber-Christ and hope to win that game.
