Regular Season Round 4: Manresa - Zaragoza 81-75
Date: October 7, 2023
There was an upset when higher ranked Zaragoza (1-2) lost on the road to fourteenth ranked Manresa (2-2) 81-75 on Saturday. Manresa forced 19 Zaragoza turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Devin Robinson (203-1995, college: Florida) who scored that evening 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and international point guard Daniel Perez (184-1990) supported him with 7 points and 11 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by Bosnian-Finnish power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (205-1995) did not help to save the game for Zaragoza. Italian guard Andrea Cinciarini (191-1986, agency: SLN) added 12 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Manresa moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Gran Canaria. Loser Zaragoza dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. They share it with Obradoiro. Manresa will meet at home bottom-ranked Palencia (#18) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zaragoza will play against Baskonia (#3) and hope to win that game.
