The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tours as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tours smashed one of their biggest challengers Loon-Plage at home 97-65. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 8 other teams. Loon-Plage at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with 10 other teams. Loon-Plage will play next round against Les Sables trying to get back on the winning streak. Tours will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Quimper UJAP on the road.
