RaPy used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Tampere 99-78 on Saturday night. The game without a history. RaPy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto Ak.A's 28. RaPy forced 20 Pyrinto Ak.A turnovers and outrebounded them 36-25 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward Olli Kanerva (198) nailed 19 points for the winning side and forward Tuomo Aalto (190) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five RaPy players scored in double figures. Guard Ossi Eskola (188-2003) came up with 13 points and 4 assists and forward Aaron Montonen (192-2005) added 14 points respectively for Pyrinto Ak.A in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RaPy will meet TuNMKY in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Pyrinto Ak.A will have a break next round.
