Not a big story in a game when Niedzwiadki (0-3) lost to Gornik (2-1) in Przemysl 73-82 on Sunday. Gornik dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Niedzwiadki's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gornik made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for forward Konrad Dawdo (198-1999) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (211-1993) accounted for 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side. Five Gornik players scored in double figures. Forward Max Egner (198-2002, college: SFC) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and Michal Chrabota (196-1999) added 13 points respectively for Niedzwiadki in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gornik will meet at home Enea Basket (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Niedzwiadki will play against Mickiewicz (#14) in Katowice and hopes to get finally their first victory.
