Regular Season Round 2: Fabo Herons - Rieti 90-68
Date: October 8, 2023
Fabo Herons used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Rieti 90-68 on Sunday night. Fabo Herons forced 21 Rieti Kienergia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Rieti Kienergia's players. The best player for the winners was center Antonio Lorenzetti (196-1995) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian guard Adrian Chiera (191-1994, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Naturalized Maltese center Kurt Cassar (208-1999) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Mattia Da Campo (198-1997, college: Seattle) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fabo Herons will meet Salerno on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Rieti Kienergia will play against Omegna and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
