The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Iskra Svit as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Iskra Svit defeated 8th ranked Spisski Rytieri at home 74-62. The best player for the winners was American forward Peter Kalthoff (206, college: Hillsdale) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Julius Brown (178-1999, college: WT) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian forward Abu Kigab (200-1998, college: Boise St., agency: Green Sports Management) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Michal Fusek (223-1995, agency: 011 Sports) added 10 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Spisski Rytieri players scored in double figures. Iskra Svit have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Spisski Rytieri at the other side dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. They share the position with Lucenec and Nitra.
