Undefeated Komarno (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by third ranked Levice (3-1) 91-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Komarno. Levice dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Komarno's 36. They outrebounded Komarno 46-30 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Aaron Wheeler (206-1998, college: St.John's) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Rob Howard (203-1997, college: UIC, agency: One Motive Sports) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Levice players scored in double figures. Israeli point guard Amit Ebo (180-1999) answered with 19 points and Bosnian forward Miljan Markovic (203-1992) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Komarno. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Handlova and Komarno. Levice will play against Inter Bratislava (#5) at home in the next round. Komarno will play against Prievidza and hopes to get back on the winning track.
