Date: October 11, 2023
Niedzwiadki has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Katowice, where they defeated Mickiewicz (1-3) 90-74. Niedzwiadki players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by power forward Szymon Janczak (206-2000) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Max Egner (198-2002, college: SFC) supported him with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Even 23 points by power forward Lukasz Klaczek (203-2000) did not help to save the game for Mickiewicz. Point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-1996) added 15 points and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Niedzwiadki left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Mickiewicz. Niedzwiadki will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mickiewicz will play on the road against Enea Basket (#13) in Poznan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
