Regular Season Round 3: Salerno - Fabo Herons 95-81

Fabo Herons (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Salerno on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Salerno 95-81. They shot 68.8 percent from the field and made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Salerno forced 20 Fabo Herons turnovers and outrebounded them 26-12 including a 21-7 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Mattia Acunzo (203-2000, college: RMU, agency: SLN) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Francesco Spinelli (195-2005) helped adding 14 points and 11 assists. Salerno's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was naturalized Argentinian guard Adrian Chiera (191-1994, agency: Interperformances) with 25 points and guard Vicente Benites (180-2002) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Five Salerno and four Fabo Herons players scored in double figures. Salerno will meet at home Brianza Casa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fabo Herons will play against Caserta BLE and hope to secure a win.
