Regular Season Round 4: MKS DG - Start 112-87
Date: October 12, 2023
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Dabrowa Gornicza where fifth ranked MKS (3-1) smashed one of their biggest challengers Start (3-1) 112-87 on Thursday. MKS shot 62.9 percent from the field. MKS outrebounded Start 34-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Chilean-American power forward Nicolas Carvacho (211-1997, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard Lovell Cabbil (188-1997, college: Liberty) who added 24 points and 7 assists during the contest. Cabbil is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Croatian Tomislav Gabric (204-1995, agency: AltusBasket) responded with 22 points and American point guard Jabril Durham (185-1994, college: Arkansas, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 11 points and 8 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MKS moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Start. MKS will meet at home Enea Zastal (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Start will play against GTK (#15) and hope to secure a win.
