Regular Season Round 2: Snaefell - Fjolnir 97-102

Very significant was Fjolnir's 102-97 road victory against Snaefell. Fjolnir dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell's 40. Fjolnir forced 22 Snaefell turnovers. Canadian power forward Lewis Diankulu (201-1995, college: Queens, NC) notched 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Viktor Steffensen (198-2002) supported him with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Four Fjolnir players scored in double figures. Fjolnir's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 30 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Jaeden King (198, college: St.Xavier) did not help to save the game for Snaefell. Forward Eythor Bardarson (191-2003) added 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Fjolnir will play against Thor AK in Akureyri in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Snaefell will play on the road against IR in Reykjavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
