Another exciting game where first ranked Tours (4-1) edged by three points second-ranked Quimper UJAP (3-2) 68-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Quimper UJAP. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Tours made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Quimper UJAP 41-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. Swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-1990) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Fabien Paschal (205-1991) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Antoine Dudit (181-1997) answered with 23 points and 7 assists and American power forward Ron Anderson Jr (203-1989, college: S.Florida) added 12 points in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tours maintains first place with 4-1 record, which they share with Andrezieux and Lyon. Quimper UJAP at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 13 other teams. Tours will play against Rueil (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Quimper UJAP will play against Berck (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
