Regular Season Round 3: Unicaja-Andalucia - Jaen CB 87-88

There was a surprise result in Malaga where Jaen CB (1-2) edged Unicaja-Andalucia (1-2) 88-87 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Jaen CB especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was forward Javier Santa Barbara (200-1995) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Javier Martinez (200-2003) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Mario Saint-Supery (193-2006) who recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and power forward Ruben Salas (207-2003) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jaen CB will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Unicaja-Andalucia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Malaga to the arena Novaschool.
