Regular Season Round 4: Kobrat - Bisons 100-69

Everything could happen in Lapua at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Kobrat and 8th ranked Bisons had identical 1-2 record. This time Kobrat used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Loimaa 100-69 on Friday night. The game without a history. Kobrat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bisons' 30. Kobrat had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bisons' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kobrat made 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Taz Sherman (184-1999, college: WVU) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import guard Anthony Roberson (196-1994, college: UCO) who added 25 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American center Dylan Painter (208-1998, college: Delaware) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and New Zealand forward Isaac Davidson (198-1997, college: Sonoma St.) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Bisons' coach Juri Heinamaki gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kobrat (2-2) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Bisons dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Kobrat will meet Lahti (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Bisons will play against KTP-Basket and hope to win that game.
