Regular Season Round 2: Hrunamenn - Armann 79-72

Hrunamenn used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Reykjavik 79-72 on Friday night. The best player for the winners was Finnish center Aleksi Liukko (211-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 26 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Eythor Arnason (183-2003) chipped in 4 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Hrunamenn players scored in double figures. American forward Devaughn Jenkins (201-1995, college: Angelo St.) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and naturalized American guard Austin Bracey (190-1990) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hrunamenn will meet Skallagrimur in the next round. Armann will play against Throttur V. and hope to win that game.
