Regular Season Round 2: TuNMKY - RaPy 76-89

Very expected game in Turun where TuNMKY was defeated by RaPy 89-76 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by RaPy. TuNMKY managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to TuNMKY's 28. They outrebounded TuNMKY 41-29 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. RaPy looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Veikko Niskanen (188-2002) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Karo Puittinen (195-1999) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Guard Emil Komusaari (188-2000) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and Polish guard Verneri Virtanen (188) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. RaPy will meet at home ToPo Juniorit in the next round where they are favorite. TuNMKY will play against JBA in Jyvaskyla and hope to win that game.
