Regular Season Round 5: Pole France - Besancon 80-66

There was a minor upset in Paris where 11th ranked Besancon (1-4) was defeated by thirteenth ranked CFBB (1-3) 80-66 on Friday. CFBB forced 27 Besancon turnovers. Point guard Nolan Traore (190-2006) stepped up and scored 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 steals for the winners and Jonas Boulefaa (203-2007) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. CFBB's coach Lamine Kebe used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Brahim Dohou (194-1999) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Anthony Da Silva (185-2001) scored 10 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CFBB left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. It was Besancon's fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. CFBB will meet higher ranked Hyeres-Toulon (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Besancon will play against Orchesien BC (#8) in Orchies and hope to win that game.
