Regular Season Round 5: Nidaros Jets - Ammerud Bskt 101-82

Bottom-ranked Ammerud Bskt (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 101-82 loss to fourth ranked Nidaros Jets (4-3) in Tromdheim on Saturday evening. They also forced 20 Ammerud Bskt turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Righ Dau (193, college: Keyano) stepped up and scored 31 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Italian Dominic Borgialli (-2001) chipped in 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-1987, college: UNH) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Swedish swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-1995) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ammerud Bskt players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nidaros Jets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Tromso. Loser Ammerud Bskt still closes the standings with five games lost. Nidaros Jets will meet at home Oppsal (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ammerud Bskt will play against Kongsberg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
