But La Roda was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Azpeitia 75-71 on Saturday night. Iraurgi SB outrebounded La Roda 40-21 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nigerian forward Mohammed Abdulsalam (206-1997, college: UNCG) notched 6 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Gaizka Maiza (191-1996) supported him with 14 points. Even 12 points by swingman Ismael Corraliza (192-2000) did not help to save the game for La Roda. Croatian swingman Matija Bilalovic (199-1997, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 13 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Iraurgi SB will meet at home Zornotza in the next round. La Roda will play against Huelva Com. and hope to win that game.
