Regular Season Round 7: Gravelines - Saint Quentin 69-78

Bottom-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-69 loss to ninth ranked Saint-Quentin (4-2) in Gravelines on Saturday evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for center Mathis Dossou-Yovo (205-2000) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points. Forward William Pfister (205-1995, college: FAU) helped adding 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-1994, college: Clemson) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Eritrean-Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-1992, college: Ottawa) scored 9 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for Saint-Quentin. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cholet and Nancy. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Levallois. Saint-Quentin will meet at home Sluc Nancy (#6) in the next round. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Le Portel (#14) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
