The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked SIG Strasbourg's (3-3) road victory over 13th ranked Chorale de Roanne (2-5) 98-82 on Saturday. SIG Strasbourg made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Paul Lacombe (198-1990) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Quinton Hooker (183-1995, college: N.Dakota) helped adding 15 points. At the losing side American forward Jordan Tucker (201-1998, college: Butler) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Yannis Morin (208-1993) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Chorale de Roanne dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Dijon and Le Portel. SIG Strasbourg will meet at home league's leader Monaco in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chorale de Roanne will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#8) and hope to secure a win.
