Very predictable result when eighth ranked Sluc Nancy (4-2) beat at home bottom-ranked Metropolitans (0-7) 85-69 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Jamaican center Shevon Thompson (213-1993, college: GMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. American point guard Frank Mason III (180-1994, college: Kansas) helped adding 20 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Sluc Nancy's coach Sylvain Lautie used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Grant Sherfield (188-1999, college: Oklahoma) responded with 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Bulgarian-American point guard Dee Bost (188-1989, college: MSU) scored 8 points and 7 assists. Sluc Nancy moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cholet and Saint Quentin. Metropolitans lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Gravelines. Sluc Nancy will meet Saint-Quentin (#7) on the road in the next round. Metropolitans will play against ADA Blois (#13) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
