Regular Season Round 3: CAM E.Soler 2 - La Zubia 80-85

There was no surprise in Melilla where CAM E.Soler 2 (1-2) was defeated by La Zubia (3-0) 85-80 on Saturday. La Zubia forced 20 CAM E.Soler 2 turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard David Garcia Gazquez (180-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. Forward Eloy Almazan (199-1984) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mario Gamez (177-2002) who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and Swedish forward Jonathan Ninkingira (198-1999, college: Three Rivers) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La Zubia will meet at home Plasticos (#4) in the next round. CAM E.Soler 2 will play against Murgi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
