Very important is a road loss of second ranked Dziki (3-1) against eleventh ranked Trefl (2-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Dziki was defeated by Trefl in Sopot 96-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dziki. Trefl looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian Aaron Best (193-1992, college: TMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Hungarian guard Benedek Varadi (194-1995) who added 20 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. At the losing side American forward Dominic Green (198-1997, college: Washington) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Mateusz Szlachetka (196-1999) scored 21 points. Five Trefl and four Dziki players scored in double figures. Dziki's coach Krzysztof Szablowski tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Trefl moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Dziki keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Trefl will meet at home Czarni (#13) in the next round where they are favorite. Dziki will play against Sokol (#16) and hope to secure a win.
