Regular Season Round 5: Kongsberg - Centrum 63-79

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Kongsberg (2-3) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Centrum (4-1) 79-63 on Sunday. Centrum made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Kongsberg outrebounded Centrum 34-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Johan Flaa (185-1999, college: Santa Rosa JC) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and Serbian forward Petar Kutlesic (206-1994, college: Azusa Pacific) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. Forward Aly Hudgins (201-1993, college: ECU) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Estonian Egert Haller (193-1995) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Centrum have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Kongsberg dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Asker Aliens. Centrum will meet league's leader Froya Basket in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kongsberg will play against Ammerud Bskt (#11) and hope to secure a win.
