Valdarno used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from San Salvatore 59-58 on Sunday night. Center Meriem Nasraoui (184-2002) notched 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Spanish forward Iho Lopez Tobi (192-1997, college: FSU) supported her with 7 points and 9 rebounds. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by French forward Eloise Pavrette (191-2003) did not help to save the game for San Salvatore. Swingman Marta Granzotto (173-1992) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Valdarno will meet at home Empoli in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. San Salvatore will play against Mantova and hope to win that game.
