Regular Season Round 3: Niksic - Buducnost 53-112

One of the most interesting games of round 3 was a derby match between two teams from Montenegro. Buducnost outleveled host Niksic (0-3) 112-53. The game without a history. Buducnost led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Niksic to just 6 points in first quarter. Buducnost dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Niksic's 20. Buducnost forced 27 Niksic turnovers and outrebounded them 59-31 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Niksic's players. It was an exceptional evening for center Lana Vukcevic (194-2005) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Atina Radevic (174-2006) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Buducnost players scored in double figures. Swingman Anastasija Begovic (175-2005) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Zoja Canovic (172-2005) added 13 points respectively for Niksic in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buducnost will meet Duga (#4) in the next round. Niksic will play against Banovici and hopes to get finally their first victory.
