There was no surprise in Poznan where 10th ranked Pyra (2-4) was defeated by fifth ranked Gniezno (5-1) 90-83 on Wednesday. Forward Dariusz Dobrzycki (193-1984) scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Mikolaj Czyz (205-1998) chipped in 25 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Gniezno's coach Arkadiusz Konowalski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-1984) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Marcin Flieger (185-1984) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds.
