First defeat of league's leader Daugavpils against Liepaja/LSSS 68-47 was the most important game of the last round. Liepaja/LSSS dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Daugavpils' 18. Latvian guard Raivita Korenika (181-2001) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Sabine Lipe (175-1999, college: UTEP) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Latvian center Valerija Baranovska (180-2003) replied with 11 points and center Anna Liepina (186-2007) added 3 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Daugavpils. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
