Sjuharads used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Visby 77-50 on Friday night. They outrebounded Visby 42-29 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sjuharads looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Visby's players. It was a great evening for German power forward Merit Brennecke (188-2000) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Linn Larsson (178-1999) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Sjuharads' coach Karin Key felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American forward Lashayla Wright-Ponder (182-1997, college: Tampa) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Raziyah Farrington (173-1997, college: Charleston) scored 4 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
