Rather expected game when 8th ranked Lucenec (1-6) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Spisski Rytieri (3-4) 96-76 on Saturday. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Point guard Luwane Pipkins (179-1996, college: Providence) fired 22 points and 8 assists for the winners. Swingman Cory Reeves (197-1997, college: Park) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Spisski Rytieri players scored in double figures. Guard Jared Sherfield (198-2000, college: Lander) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Shamar Givance (178, college: UTEP) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Lucenec's coach Tibor Jany tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Spisski Rytieri moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Inter Bratislava. Loser Lucenec dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Spisski Rytieri will meet higher ranked Handlova (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lucenec will have a break next round.
