There was an upset in Madrid where one of their biggest challengers Guadalajara (2-2) was defeated by ninth ranked Estudiantes B (2-1) 81-73 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian-Italian forward Lucas Giovannetti (201-2005) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Adrian Perez (198-2003) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Estudiantes B's coach Mariano Arasa used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Venezuelan power forward Luis Valera (201-1988, college: UTRGV) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Raul Lazaro (195-1987) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Guadalajara players scored in double figures. Estudiantes B moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Guadalajara dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 42 other teams. Estudiantes B will meet league's leader Chlorella on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Guadalajara will play against BT Madrid (#14) and hope to secure a win.
