Regular Season Round 7: Iskra Svit - Levice 74-72

The most exciting game of round 7 in the Nike SBL took place in Svit. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Levice (4-2) to first ranked Iskra Svit (6-1) 74-72 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Levice. Iskra Svit forced 19 Levice turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Bryson Mozone (198-2000, college: Georgetown, agency: GoEmpire Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. Point guard Julius Brown (178-1999, college: WT) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Iskra Svit players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Aaron Wheeler (206-1998, college: St.John's) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Rob Howard (203-1997, college: UIC, agency: One Motive Sports) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Levice's coach Michal Madzin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Iskra Svit have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Defending champion Levice dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Handlova. Iskra Svit are looking forward to face Prievidza (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Levice will play against Nitra (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
