There was a surprise result in Tbilisi where RASHI smashed Rustavi 112-92 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by RASHI. Rustavi managed to win third quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Rustavi's 48 and made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. RASHI looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Eric Frederick (203-1989, college: TxWes) scored 30 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Braden Olsen (183, college: Chaminade) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. Point guard Demaree King (183-1999, college: Jax State) responded with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Jordan Henderson (196-1999, college: Canisius) scored 19 points. Five RASHI and four Rustavi players scored in double figures. Rustavi's coach Anatoli Boisa rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
