Regular Season Round 3: RaPy - ToPo Juniorit 81-92

RaPy (2-1) recorded a loss in Tampere on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ToPo Juniorit (2-1) 92-81. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 51-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. ToPo Juniorit looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by RaPy helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Alvar Michelsen (197) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Forward Eldar Skamo (198) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five ToPo Juniorit players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Karo Puittinen (195-1999) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the former international center Mika Nuolivirta (210-1994, college: CSU-Pueblo) added 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively. RaPy's coach Juho Jaakkola rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. ToPo Juniorit is looking forward to face JBA (#3) in Jyvaskyla in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. RaPy will play on the road against Honka in Espoo and is hoping to win this game.
