Regular Season Round 5: Start - GTK 100-93

Bottom-ranked GTK is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to sixth ranked Start (4-1) 100-93 on Saturday evening. Start shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Jabril Durham (185-1994, college: Arkansas, agency: Octagon Europe) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Liam OReilly (188-1996, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 24 points and 9 assists. Four Start players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Price (205-1996, college: S.Indiana) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Canadian guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) added 21 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for GTK in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Start moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. GTK lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Sokol. Start will meet at home WKS Slask (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GTK will play against Enea Zastal (#14) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
