There was no surprise when 13th ranked Tarn.Gory (3-4) lost to leader Rybnik (7-0) in Tarnowskie Gory 65-79 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Kacper Wydra (180-2000) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Piotr Kawczynski (185-2002) accounted for 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Rybnik players scored in double figures. Forward Aleksander Maslanka (197-1991) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-1995) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Tarn.Gory in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Rybnik. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Energa W-wa and Zgorzelec. Tarn.Gory lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Rybnik will meet at home UR Krakow (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tarn.Gory will play against Katowice KS 27 and hope to secure a win.
