Regular Season Round 6: RIG Haga - SBBK 65-90
Date: October 22, 2023
The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked SBBK's (4-1) road victory over 7th ranked RIG Haga (2-2) 90-65 on Sunday. SBBK dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to RIG Haga's 36 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. SBBK forced 32 RIG Haga turnovers. Gustav Skogsjo notched 20 points and 4 steals to lead the effort and Theo Kermoury (-2006) supported him with 18 points. Four SBBK players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 5 assists by forward Lennart Payne (193-2007) did not help to save the game for RIG Haga. Viktor Bystrom (-2005) added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SBBK have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted RIG Haga keeps the seventh position with two games lost. SBBK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. RIG Haga will play against Tyreso (#11) and hope to secure a win.
