Gdynia used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Warszawa 68-59. Gdynia made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game, while Polonia W-wa only scored six points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Rennia Davis (188-1999, college: Tennessee) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Lithuanian power forward Laura Miskiniene-Svaryte (190-1992) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Anna Pawlowska (170-1996) came up with 20 points and 5 assists and American guard Kayla Wells (183-1999, college: Texas A&M) added 10 points respectively for Polonia W-wa in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gdynia will play against Sosnowiec at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polonia W-wa will have a break next round.
