Regular Season Round 6: Koping Stars - Boras 82-74

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Boras (3-2) against ninth ranked Koping Stars (1-5) on Monday night. Visiting Boras were defeated by Koping Stars in a tough game in Koping 74-82. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Ben Okhotin (198-1999, college: PLNU) notched 20 points to lead the effort and forward Brett Reed (204-1996, college: St.Martin's) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Koping Stars players scored in double figures. Koping Stars' coach Torbjorn Gehrke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 22 points and 9 rebounds by swingman Ibrahim Watson-Boye (196-1998, college: Dayton) did not help to save the game for Boras. Guard Jarred Godfrey (196, college: PFW) added 24 points. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Koping Stars left bottom position moving up to eighth place. Boras at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Koping Stars will play against league's second-placed Jamtland in Ostersund in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Boras will play at home against Sodertalje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
