Regular Season Round 4: Snaefell - IA 101-108

Everything could happen in Stykkisholmur at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked IA and 8th ranked Snaefell had identical 1-2 record. But Snaefell was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Akranes 108-101 on Friday night. The winners were led by Hungarian-Serbian Srdjan Stojanovic (198-1991) who scored that evening 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Aamondae Coleman (200-1998, college: FPU) supported him with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 42 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by American guard Jaeden King (198, college: St.Xavier) did not help to save the game for Snaefell. American-Hungarian forward Sam Burt (201-1994, college: FPU) added 16 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. IA (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Skallagrimur and Sindri. Snaefell lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. IA will meet at home league's leader Fjolnir in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Snaefell will play against Armann (#12) in Reykjavik and hope to win that game.
