Regular Season Round 6: LCC Klaipeda - TTT Juniores 106-40

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Latvian TTT Juniores (0-2) were crushed on the road by top-ranked Lithuanian LCC Klaipeda (3-0) 106-40 on Friday. LCC Klaipeda dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to TTT Juniores' 26. LCC Klaipeda forced 32 TTT Juniores turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. LCC Klaipeda looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by TTT Juniores' players. The best player for the winners was Latvian guard Lina Loceniece (178-2002, college: Wagner) who scored 26 points. Ukrainian forward Kateryna Dike (190-2004) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five LCC Klaipeda players scored in double figures. LCC Klaipeda's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Amanda Baumgarte (182-2005) who recorded 4 points and 8 rebounds and Latvian Madara Kilpe (179-2005) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively. LCC Klaipeda have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Neptunas. Loser TTT Juniores still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Jurmala.
