Regular Season Round 4: Huima - HNMKY 91-81

Huima's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat HNMKY (0-5) 91-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 56-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American guard Corevon Lott (185-1999, college: Keiser) who scored that evening 31 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Isaiah Lewis (201-2001, college: NC-Wesleyan, agency: Blacktop Management) supported him with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Four Huima players scored in double figures. Even 13 points, 8 assists and 4 steals by point guard Lenni Hervola (179-2003) did not help to save the game for HNMKY. Swingman Tuukka Harsila (192-2004) added 17 points and 4 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for lost side. HNMKY's coach Tuomas Oja rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Huima (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with HBA-Marsky. It was HNMKY's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Huima will meet at home league's second-placed JBA in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. HNMKY will have a break next round.
