Regular Season Round 4: Ponzano - Treviso 70-67

The biggest surprise took place in Veneto where host Ponzano (3-1) edged league's leader Treviso (3-1) 70-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Treviso. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Guard Alice Milani (175-1999) fired 19 points for the winners. Guard Martina Mosetti (176-1995, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Ponzano's coach Matteo Gambarotto used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Polish Karolina Pobozy (190-1996) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Sofia Vespignani (170-1996) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Ponzano moved-up to second place, which they share with 10 other teams including defeated Treviso. Treviso will play next round against league's leader Udine trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Ponzano will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Abano Terme in Padova.
